What data we process
Contact details you give us: name and phone number when you request an appointment through the website, WhatsApp or by phone.
Vehicle data: registration plate, VIN, make, model, mileage and technical details needed to diagnose and repair the car.
Service records: photographs of the vehicle at intake and handover, your signature of acceptance, quotes and invoices.
Communications: the content of the messages we exchange with you on WhatsApp or SMS about your appointment or repair.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
To manage your appointment, quote and repair: performance of the service contract you request.
To issue invoices and meet tax and sector obligations, including the workshop logbook entry: legal obligation.
To keep you informed about your vehicle by WhatsApp or SMS: performance of the contract.
To send maintenance reminders or workshop offers: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying “STOP”.
How long we keep it
Invoices and billing records: at least 4 years, as required by tax law.
Vehicle history and intake/handover photographs: while you remain a customer and throughout warranty and claim periods.
Data processed with your consent: until you withdraw it.
If you ask us to erase your data, we anonymise it and keep only what the law requires us to retain.
Who we share it with
Technology providers acting as processors: WhatsApp Business (Meta Platforms Ireland) for messaging, LabsMobile for SMS, Amazon Web Services (Madrid region) for photo storage and backups, and our server provider in the European Union.
Public authorities and bodies where the law requires it, such as the Spanish Tax Agency or vehicle maintenance registries.
We do not sell your data or share it for third-party advertising.
Your rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time:
- access your data and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- request erasure;
- restrict or object to processing;
- request portability of the data you provided;
- withdraw your consent, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise them, write to teidemotors@gmail.com stating your name and registration plate. If you believe your request was not handled properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
